Agata D'Aquino, born in Catania in 1988, a day before the celebrations for the patron saint for whom she is named, grew up in the Aci Valley, maintaining a connection with the land and the sea where the Aci River flows into the sea. A precocious poet, her passion for literature led her to write poetry from the age of thirteen. In 2010, she published her first collection of poems, "Della sabbia e della polvere," with Lippolis. A polyglot and multifaceted woman, she graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures in 2013 with a master's thesis on Tommaso Landolfi.
After entering the professional world with a teaching career in Tuscany, she became aware of the need to rediscover another way of life; she decided to leave that role behind to move beyond and embark on a journey of self-discovery, gaining various experiences in Italy and abroad. She currently resides in Pisa, where she practices Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
