I Edition

Synopsis: An anthology containing the prose and poetry finalists and winners of the first edition of the literary competition ~ Myths of Water and Fire ~ 1st Edition, whose awards ceremony took place in June 2026 in Catania.

With the intention of starting from the Mythos, the eternal, immutable, and genius of the place that reconnects the individual to its territory, not only as a romantic and at times nostalgic revival of something past that no longer exists, but as a present affirmation of individuality and identity that reharmonizes the individual with the masses; For this edition, both Sicilian and Catanian, the myths that best represent it have been selected and divided into four sections:

1 Typhon and Hephaestus

2 Gammazita, Demeter and Kore

3 Liotro, Acis and Galatea

4 Ionio and Colapesce

With the aim of revisiting them in different ways: futuristic, imaginary, or fantasy, but always relevant in the production and reproduction of timeless stories with values and characters that transcend semantic, temporal, and other limitations.
