Giuditta Licata Petrina

 

Giuditta Licata Petrina was born in Catania on october 31, 1988, but grew up in the foothills of the Mount Etna, where she has always cultivated a deep connection with nature and the animal world.

 

 

From a young age, she nurtured a visceral passion for great literature, eagerly devouring the pages of giants such as Kafka, Dostoevsky, Zola, D'Annunzio, Pirandello, and Svevo. This love for the written word was complemented, in her early youth, by a love for great auteur cinema, explored through the visionary eyes of directors such as Buñuel, Antonioni, Truffaut, Bergman, Fellini, and Kim Ki-duk. This quest was also fostered by active participation in democratic cultural associations and by frequenting the Catania cultural scene, including the Benedictine monastery (an academic and youth center) and independent film clubs.

 

 

Today she has forgotten almost everything and has chosen to make room for a more essential and lived daily life: her time is currently happily divided between social commitment as a volunteer at a foundation, sports, caring for her beloved plants, and devotion to her cat, Oscar.
